The 2019, annual event "Be at Your Best Basketball" tournament took place this weekend, the 15th and 16th of June at the Wanangkura Stadium, South Hedland.
There was some amazing talent on show throughout the weekend from those whom played. But also, great sportsmanship throughout the whole tournament, where teams cheered for each other and volunteered to umpire each others games. With out each teams umpire volunteers, the tournament could not have been such a success.
A warm complimentary breakfast was offered each morning for the players and spectators, compliments of Monadelphous. Also, the complimentary "Famous Wirraka Maya Burgers", were cooked up for lunch, which were well received by all the hungry players and the spectators too,
There were 6 males teams in total; The Falcons, The Phillapinas, Junjarus, Hedland Storm, The Pardoo Katz and the
T. I Kings Team.
Also, 3 female teams entered the competition, The Renegades, Pardoo Kittens and the Vipers.
The men's final was between the Falcons vs the T.I Kings, where the Falcons won. The women's final was between the Pardoo Kittens and Vipers, where the Pardoo Kittens won.
