This past Friday, 3rd of May, the annual Careers Expo was held at Wanangkura Stadium, South Hedland.
In total there were over 40 stall holders, ranging from Local Businesses, Universities and Regional TAFE, Government of Industry, Mining and Community Organisations.
Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation was one of the Health Service stall holders. The year 10, 11 and 12 grade students, were shown possible health care career opportunities by the Wirraka Maya Staff.
Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (RTO Department) provides training in Certificate 4 in Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice. Students showed a high interest in completing an expression of interest form to enrol in this course.
